About Serum Australis

Serum Australis Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated company based in NSW, Australia . We recently bought the equipment and procedures of the serum company Hunter Antisera. We continue their tradition of providing highest quality animal serum to the medical and veterinary research community, suitable for use in vaccine production, medical diagnostic tests or as a nutrient in tissue culture media.

Our serum is 100% Australian in origin and has the advantage of Australia 's freedom from disease. All serum is sourced from donor animals or select abattoirs and processed on site in our laboratory. Our donor herd is managed according to Australian Ethical standards. Please see our product list for species and details. All serum is selected for low haemolysis and is sterile filtered to 0.22 m. For international orders we can freeze dry the serum for ease of transport. Serum is processed and packaged at our facility, with a strict Quality Control program, to ensure its traceability, sterility and purity.

Our processes and animal husbandry practices are designed to be environmentally sustainable in their use of resources and chemicals.
